Washing instructions for Level Gloves

Do not wash leather gloves frequently. Water and detergents in particular, even if delicate, can dry out the leather and compromise the lifespan of the glove. If you need to wash leather or fabric gloves, follow the steps below. Always follow the washing instructions printed on the label. Wash at low temperatures and avoid using fabric softeners.

LEATHER GLOVES
Leather products must never be washed in the washing machine. To remove stains, use a damp cloth with a small amount of delicate detergent. Delicately scrub the area and do not use fabric softeners or bleach. Rinse well under running water and make sure that all traces of the detergent have been removed. Do not wring, instead wrap the gloves in a dry cloth to remove excess water, then hang them vertically with the fingers facing upwards. This helps the water to drain out and the glove to dry properly. Do not leave in direct sunlight or on a radiator, let them dry at room temperature. Do not iron. Important: When wet, dyed leather can stain clothing. The gloves will take many hours to dry, during this time put them on a few times to restore their original shape. When the gloves are completely dry, we recommend applying a leather conditioner using a cloth to hydrate and conserve the softness of the leather.

GLOVES IN TECHNICAL FABRIC
Check the care instructions on the label to see if there are any particular restrictions. Close any zips and Velcro straps. Use a delicate detergent. Never use detergent containing bleach, fabric softener or whiteners as they damage the Durable Water Repellent coating. Rinse well under running water and make sure that all traces of the detergent have been removed. Hang gloves vertically with the fingers facing upwards. This helps the water to drain out and the glove to dry properly. Do not leave in direct sunlight or on a radiator, let them dry at room temperature. Do not iron. Where possible, remove the inner lining of the glove. This aids the drying process and allows you to wash the lining separately. Linings in wool, silk and/or merino wool must be washed by hand and dried on a flat surface. If your gloves do not have a removable lining, do not turn them inside out. The coating, insulation and membrane could be damaged. We recommend using a waterproofing spray after washing.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Gloves are rarely damaged when skiing or boarding. It is usually the edges of the ski/board or boot buckle that cause any damage. Take care when handling skis, boots or other sharp objects. To keep the leather palms hydrated and soft it is advisable to use a skin balm every 2/3 months.
